After walking under the overgrown vines and down the dark path, you enter the little oasis that is E for Ethel. Immediately you are greeted by the eternally beaming Amanda and feel instantly warm, cosy and right at home. Your eyes are taken on a journey up and down cupboards, in and out of shelves and along long lines of tea towels and artwork hanging on the walls. A visual feast for your eyes, and an anticipation of what quaint finds am I going to purchase and take home with me this time.

Running successfully since 2011, Ethel has been growing and growing into a bursting at the seams cafe with loads of gorgeous handmade, ethically-produced gift products (often with a fabulous story behind the items or crafts person), and locally sourced delicious food. And coffee. Oh the coffee!

The much loved De Groot Coffee Co provides cups (mugs) of endless happiness, all complimented by the equally celebrate Sweet Lola cakes and sweet treats. Oh and don’t forget the chocolate freckle perfectly presented on each vintage teaspoon with your cuppa! All served on miss-matched crockery, retro tables and chairs, and gorgeous succulents on each table.

Recently updated, the cafe layout has seen a re-shuffle to provide more space to cater for the faithful regulars and ever-growing new legion of fans that have just discovered the gem.
