Kosher Bacon: 27 February – 4 March

Coming off a sold out season at Perth’s Fringe World, Michael Shafar’s show is sure to appeal to the masses. The comedian and writer for Channel 10’s The Project has appeared on SBS’s RAW Comedy, the Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World Competition and Channel 44’s The Leak. As heard on ABC Radio’s Comedy Bites and Triple J’s Good Az Friday.

Since leaving a career in law for comedy, Michael Shafar has made a name for himself as one of the fastest rising stars in Australian comedy, reaching the RAW Comedy National Final in 2016, selling out his debut season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and touring internationally.

Michael is excited to serve up Kosher Bacon at Adelaide. “It’s a show about things that make no sense, like how my local politician used to be the DJ at all of our friends’ bar mitzvah parties. We thought that was normal.”

The shows will be at Adelaide’s The German Club, which is certainly the perfect venue for a nice Jewish boy.

Comedians Against Humanity: 16 February – 4 March (not Mondays)

After sell out seasons around the world Comedians Against Humanity is ready to hit Adelaide bigger & better than ever!

Comedians Against Humanity is an exciting concept in interactive, improvised, satirical stand up, created hosted by Yianni Agisilaou (pron. AJ-ISS-IL-OH). Taking inspiration from the popular card game Cards Against Humanity, this is a show loved by performers and audiences alike – having repeat sell out seasons at Edinburgh, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.

Specific Adelaide themed cards make it even more hilarious.

Expertly directed and assisted by host Yianni, watch three different world class comedians (different comics guest star every night), improvise press conferences, church sermons, product pitches and more, using the riotous, fun and inappropriate suggestions an audience equipped with Cards Against Humanity cards can provide.

Premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 Comedians Against Humanity quickly became the underground hit of the fringe, with the venue having to turn away audience members.
