Here’s your chance to run around in your undies. Together with 1,500 others! All while making a difference to those diagnosed with bowel cancer.
This Sunday 14th January, sees Australia’s cheekiest fun run, the People’s Choice Undies Run, held around Park 15, on Wakefield Street.
A 2.3km course, held in conjunction with the SA Cancer Council, will follow the Santos Tour Down Under track, just before the People’s Choice Classic bike ride begins, so there will be a wonderful festival atmosphere on the day. The Undies Zone will be open from 2:30pm with loads of fun and entertainment for all the family, and then the race kicks off at 4:30pm. The Undies Run Ambassadors Matty J (The Bachelor) and Olivia Rogers (Miss Universe Australia) will be available for “selfies” in the Undies Zone, so bring your A-Grade selfie game.
Online registrations have closed but you can still register on the day. Just rock up on Sunday, visit the People’s Choice Credit Union team, pick up your undies, then run, jog or walk the course.
If you are unable to partake on the day but would still like to make a donation, you can head over here: www.cancercouncilfundraising.org.au
Bowel cancer is Australia’s second-most commonly diagnosed cancer, killing 4,000 Australians each year. But, early detection and treatment can significantly increase the chances of survival, with up to 90% of bowel cancers deemed treatable if detected early. Peoples Choice Undies Run for Bowel Cancer aims to raise funds and awareness for bowel cancer, and remind us there’s nothing to be embarrassed about when it comes to bowel cancer screening.
