Inspired by our current exhibition Ngurra: Home in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands join us for a range of activities this January.

Build a wiltja
January 8-12, 15-19

When you need a place to rest in the desert, you can a wiltja for shelter. Tamaru will show us how to build shelters using traditional Kaurna techniques.

Paint a pannikin

Decorate your own pannikin with artist Nish Cash. Pannikins (enamel camping mugs) are symbols of home for many Ngaanyatjarra people – there’s nothing like a cuppa tea by the fire!

The Wilurarra crew have created the ultimate selfie backdrop. Dress up and pose with props inspired by Ngaanyatjarra country.

Step inside the home of the Ngaanyatjarra people, and see photographs, sculptures, videos and much more. Ancient traditions meet youth culture in this unique exhibition.
