South Australia is the “Festival State” and the “Gin State”, so what better way to celebrate such titles than to have a Gin Festival? Inside the Flour Shed, the main bar – “Ginsational” – will be run by one of Adelaide’s favourite gin dens, The Howling Owl, making gin cocktails with some of the finest Australian Gins. Festival goers will also be able to try free samples from around 20 different gin distillers and enjoy the beauty of the garnish bar, hosted by Fever Tree tonic and Adelaide bar, Haines & Co. Outside there will be a selection of amazing local food vendors, to let you dine with friends under the leafy canopy of Mundy Street. Gincident will kickstart you into the spirit of Christmas (get it?!) with festive craft stalls and Christmas-Special Gin batches, so you can get a head start on your shopping!
This event will celebrate Mother Nature’s best work, cheers to plants, cheers to botanicals and a big cheers to the Juniper Berry. And what better way to celebrate than with a G&T in hand, and listening to live music or joining one of the Masterclass sessions throughout the day?
Some of the Gintastic companies sharing their Gin at the Festival will include, Prohibition Liquor Co., Archie Rose, Four Pillars, Adelaide Hills Distillery, McHenry, Cape Byron, Never Never, Kangaroo Island Gin, Animus Distillery, Luxe Wine + Spirits, Martin Distillation Co., Reed & Co. and 36 Short.
