The Hindley Bar and Grill is a stylish breath of fresh air in the West End, and its full of personalised cocktails, juicy steaks and the most amazing art.
Housed in the HQ complex, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bar serves late into the night.
With over 20 years under his belt, Head chef, Shane Piercy has created a menu that incorporates seasonal local produce and knowledge. Having previously left his mark at The Lion Hotel, Public Caffe and The Sauce Restaurant, he brings the perfect mix of classic pub meals including wood oven pizzas, through to refined modern dishes and succulent steaks. The wood oven halloumi with sweetened currants and walnuts was our favourite of the night!
Come Friday night knock-off drinks, The Hindley is the place to be, with flowing drinks in the happy hour and beautifully presented absolutely delicious canapes featuring fresh SA oysters, aranchini balls, salmon and more. Oh, and don’t forget the Insta-worthy desserts!
Boasting over 30 local and international beers and a wine list any restaurant would be envious of, there is a large emphasis on local South Australian wines. Brenton Ford from Oatley Fine Wine Merchants heads up this amazing selection, and he is as passionate about his wines as his list is comprehensive. And it gets better, The Hindley is a licensed takeaway bottle shop!
The Hindley complex still maintains its personality as a full entertainment venue, with Friday and Saturday nights playing host to local bands and DJ’s. There are also often sessions on the balcony. The Hindley is a multi-space venue that lends itself so many different forms of functions, and is available for hire for your own private space for an event.
The Hindley Bar and Grill has taken residence on the ground floor of the old HQ building, while the upper levels are the playround for nightclubbers. The only time all levels come together is for HQ Saturdays, from 11pm.
