District 4: New Vietnamese Restaurant in The East End

District 4 is the smallest urban district in Saigon, and the hottest Vietnamese restaurant in Adelaide’s East End.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the opening night at the double story restaurant on Rundle Street, and had the most delicious tasting of Chargrilled Scallops with Special Vietnamese Scallion Oil, Shrimp Cupcakes, Whole SA Prawn Spring Rolls, Vegan D4 Mushroom Rice Rolls, Scotch Fillet Cubes and Pho in a Cup.

All of the dishes we tried were crazy-tasty and beautifully presented, so fresh and flavoursome, we absolutely plan to come back for the full dinner experience.

The staff and the ambiance all added to a very friendly and authentic Vietnamese experience, with a beautiful fit out and fresh greenery and vibrant red chillies.

One experience I am looking forward to taking the kids back to is the “Roll Your Own” cold rolls, served deconstructed and with a selection of crispy roast pork, chargrilled squid, all the herbs and pickled veggies you could want, Vietnamese soup and fresh house-made dipping sauce. This I think deserves its own blog post… watch this space…
District 4 is located on the corner of Frome and Rundle St and open for authentic Vietnamese bread rolls served fresh every weekday morning from 11am, light options for lunch including a large variety of Pho, combination rices, authentic cold rolls and Banh Mi through until 3pm, then open again for dinner from 6pm – 10pm where you can treat yourself with more filling mains, all authentic Vietnamese, and all amazingly fresh and delicious.
