Authentic Mexican Guzman Y Gomez Arrives on Gouger Street

Guzman Y Gomez, Australia’s most authentic Mexican retail chain, has opened their second store in Adelaide, with a bright and colourful restaurant on Gouger Street. Perfect for those late night taco cravings, or a family dinner full delicious nachos, burritos or loaded fries.

I was invited to celebrate the opening, and was treated tho the most colourful event I think I have ever attended! There was an amazing grazing table overflowing with Mexican dishes and there were also yummy frozen margaritas and Jarritos bottled drinks including Latin lemonade.

Specialising in authentic, quality Mexican food served quickly at reasonable prices, the menu included tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos and burrito bowls, fajitas, enchiladas and loaded fries, with the most delicious Churros for dessert, served with indulgent Dulce de Leche dipping sauce.

We were treated to a tour of the kitchen and taken on the journey of an order, which showcased the fresh produce and ethically sourced ingredients used (such as the 100% sow-stall free pork, Lilydale free range chicken and 100% grass fed beef), and the many ingredients that make up the numerous main and side dishes. Even the guacamole is made from scratch each morning by the chefs.
